MSam was founded in 2011, consultancy projects realised include projects for analytical instrument vendors, CMO and Pharma as well as the development of a drug metabolite identification workflow to support First In Human studies at a CRO.

Lab management experience covers 20+ years in both research (non-glp) and development (glp) as analytical section head and group leader. Analytical groups managed supported a broad range of disciplines (analytical, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology and dmpk), labs were located on larger (>2000 fte) as well as smaller (~100 fte) sites.

Analytical expertise was gained in the pharmaceutical industry in a large variety of projects for a.o. Janssen Research (Johnson & Johnson), MSD (Merck), Schering-Plough and Organon (AkzoNobel). Recent analytical projects include drug metabolite identification in First in Human studies, coverage of human metabolites in safety species (MIST), Lead Optimisation support and the optimization of an accurate mass based quan/qual discovery uplc-ms workflow. GMP aspects were covered as a consultant for Panda International (QC Sample Management @ Sanquin Plasma Products BV, a Dutch CMO) and Planet Pharma (ICH Q3D Program Manager & Interim Lab Coach Analytical Chemistry @ MSD).

MSam is a member of the Dutch Society for Mass Spectrometry (NVMS), British Mass Spectrometry Society (BMSS) and American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS).
